Reflections on the Universality of Christ Consciousness

Christ Consciousness is truly exquisite and should be in no way thought of as an attribute of religion. Belief systems are in themselves limiting, often rigid in thought and not allowing for our unguarded spiritual evolution. Shall we be reminded once again that we are not humans trying to be spiritual, but free spirit living in a human environment?
Translated from the Greek language, the word “Christ” means anointed: anointed with the Light of God. Christ consciousness is the projected consciousness of God in all creation. It is the universal consciousness, oneness with God, manifested by Jesus, Krishna and other great avatars. In essence, Christ Consciousness means to see the world through the Heart and Mind of God: to bring out the feeling of goodness and Love within us and ground it into the everyday world. Christ consciousness can be equated with a philosophy of life that radiates inner peace, unconditional love, divine power, oneness, joy, freedom, harmony and non-judgment in all situations of life. It is about making moment to moment choices between God consciousness and human consciousness, between Christ consciousness and negative ego consciousness, between your True Nature and the illusion and glamour of the game of life, between Love and fear.
When we choose to turn our soul’s attention from the consciousness of identity and attachment to the outer material world of society, relationships and possessions, to identifying with the universality of Christ consciousness, we begin our disentanglement with the cosmic drama of life and our movement into Grace.
Simply put, to live from this ideal vantage point, we truly keep vigilant over all that we put forth. We keep choosing positivety and oneness in our thinking, actions and speech: we emulate the Masters and keep choosing Christ consciousness which is our Truth. There is no level at which we can let down our vigilance, this cannot be emphasized enough (a subject on its own). We have to work with the same self-discipline, consistency and commitment, breaking age old patterns that have kept us in the illusion of separation.
Actually Christ consciousness is a way to manifest God/Christ upon the earth, living our full potential and being the Masters we were intended to be, in pure connection with all our brothers and sisters and God.
